DUBAI: The Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC) Al Amal team achieved third place in the Women’s Karate League this season, after a strong performance by the team.

The team represented SWSC in the championship at the Sharjah Individual Games Club gymnasium in Al Hazana branch: Sheikha Al-Ketbi, Shamma Al-Ketbi, Joud Mahmoud and Amna Barakat, led by coach Hala Al-Boudi.

The team’s coach said she was satisfied with the players’ performance, noting that their younger age and lack of experience prevented them from reaching the final round of the tournament.

She said the players will continue to play in the ranks of the women’s team next season despite their young age, in order to help them gain more confidence and experience.
