Dubai-based Japanese restaurant TakaHisa is once again collaborating with a Michelin-star chef to bring the sophisticated tastes of Asia to the Arab world.
Chef Yusuke Takada’s two-Michelin-starred Osaka restaurant Le Cime paid homage to the idea of balancing three essential elements—guests, cuisine, and space—to create a perfect culinary moment.
As part of his preparation for this unique menu, Chef Takada visited Dubai’s renowned spice market, drawing inspiration from the rich flavors of the Gulf and Levant.
This influence is reflected in a variety of dishes, such as yuzu-infused hummus and sushi rice topped with pomegranate and a drizzle of olive oil, skillfully incorporating regional ingredients into Japanese cuisine. The regional inspiration also extends to the dessert, which features figs blended with light buttercream and drizzled with Hoji tea syrup, offering a perfect fusion of flavors to conclude the meal.
The Omakase experience featured creations that required weeks of meticulous preparation and collaboration between TakaHisa’s Head Chefs, Takashi Namekata and Hisao Ueda, and Chef Yusuke Takada, whose restaurant La Cime has held two Michelin stars for twelve consecutive years.
Takada also earned the Chef’s Choice Award in 2020. Together, they have crafted a menu that redefines fine dining for this special occasion.
Priced at 116,024 yen (AED 3,000) per person, this Omakase experience promised an unforgettable culinary journey.
The event took place from Oct. 4-6 at TakaHisa, Banyan Tree Dubai, Bluewaters Island.
