TOKYO: Specializing in serving 100% Halal Kobe Beef Curry, ‘Yoshi’s Passion’ is a Japanese restaurant that opened on Oct. 1 in Tokyo and is committed to using all Halal ingredients in its dishes.
The restaurant is located in Asakusa and is owned by Yoshi Nakatani. “My passion is to give opportunities to all Muslim friends to try authentic Japanese food,” Nakatani told Arab News Japan.
“Japanese curry is popular among Muslims but most curry in Japan contains pork. It was very difficult to bring out the flavor of Japanese curry without using it,” he added.
About the response and feedback from the people who visited the restaurant, Nakatani said: “Muslim friends were very happy to try our Halal Japanese curry, and they simply loved it. Our Japanese friends did not even notice that this curry doesn’t contain pork, believing this is just another stunning Japanese curry,
The restaurant offers chicken, mutton, and prawn with their curry.
“We are very excited to have opportunities to serve our Muslim friends in the near future,” Nakatani said.
About his recommendations for those who want to try the food at the restaurant, Nakatani said: “We would recommend our signature menu, ‘Halal Kobe Beef Curry’, a collaboration of premium Kobe beef with rich, flavorful curry. We made this possible as we run a Halal Kobe beef restaurant called Nagomi in Tokyo. This unique dish is something you won’t find anywhere else!”.
