DUBAI: Ukrainian Olympic judo champion Daria Bilodid was hosted by the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club for a three-day training camp at the Sharjah Olympic Center for Women’s Sports.

Bilodid, a two-time world champion (2018, 2019) and bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, conducted joint training sessions aimed at motivating and developing young female athletes from the club’s branches in Kalba and the children’s centers in Al Qarayen and Helwan.

The first day featured 32 athletes from the Kalba branch, coached by Lamia Al-Adasi, followed by 19 junior athletes on the second day, led by Ghanya Al-Siasi.

The final day brought together 23 athletes from Helwan and Al Qarayen under coach Nora Hassan.

Bilodid praised the center’s advanced facilities and highlighted the potential of its athletes, noting the positive impact the club’s high standards in training and management could have on future achievements.
