DUBAI: A wonderful Japanese cultural experience was held on March 15 at the Japanese restaurant JIMOTO in Dubai.
Held in collaboration with HalaCultures, the event featured various activities such as Japanese calligraphy, a chopstick and rice competition, a Shogi Table experience and more.
“Various Japanese engagement activities were done on each table where customers could interact with those activities until Iftar time,” Omar Al Naqbi, owner of JIMOTO, told Arab News Japan.
Al Naqbi mentioned that the event got very positive feedback as the customers were overjoyed with the whole experience, which complemented the great food experience.
Ahmed Al Mazmi, founder of HalaCultures, said about the event, “The smiles and joyous faces from both adults and their children were the result of a very successful event that embodied the Japanese joyous spirit, which heavily complemented the flavorful Japanese food that received perfect reviews from the customers.”
“This gathering event is the first of many that will happen in the future with even more immersiveness into the wonders of the casual side of the traditional Japanese culture,” he added.
Al Mazmi mentioned that HalaCultures will participate in both Abu Dhabi Festival and Middle East Film & Comic Con 2025 next month.
JIMOTO Japanese restaurant is located in Damac Hills and offers three varieties of Okonomiyaki: chicken, beef, and vegetables.
