Rolls-Royce unveiled the ‘Cherry Blossom’ Phantom as the popular flower blooms across all of Japan.

The one-of-a-kind commissioned car is fully inspired by the fleeting beauty of Japanese cherry blossoms and the tradition of Hanami, or flower viewing.

The Phantom Extended, which took over three years and six months in development, was created for a Japanese client seeking to preserve cherished memories of the season.

It features more than 250,000 hand-stitched embroidery threads across its interior. The car also has a bespoke Starlight Headliner adorned with delicate cherry blossoms, with each petal stitched to reflect light in jewel-like fashion.

Each petal was stitched by hand, using ancient Japanese techniques adapted for modern craftsmanship. The car’s exterior is in Crystal over Arctic White, with the umbrellas in the doors carrying a similar floral theme.

According to the General Manager of Bespoke Design at Rolls-Royce, Martina Starke: “The cherry blossom represents the ephemeral nature of life. This motor car expresses that philosophy through heritage craftsmanship and contemporary artistry.”
