OSAKA: Through their active participation, Youth Ambassadors at the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai are improving the image of the UAE globally as they showcase the Emirati identity and highlight the country’s heritage in Japan.
24 out of the 46 ambassadors at Expo are Emirati, proudly representing their nation and educating attendees about the country’s history, innovations, and global partnerships.
The Youth Ambassadors showcase an authentic representation of Emirati youth, fostering cultural connections with people worldwide.
Ahmed Al Derai, a youth ambassador at the UAE Pavilion who previously studied in Japan, shared with Emirates News Agency (WAM) the importance of the country’s experience in the space industry, as the UAE’s scientific progress reflects the country’s cultural identity.
He added that the pavilion will host events dedicated to the space sector to explore opportunities with international organizations, expressing his desire to raise awareness about the UAE space agency.
Moreover, Sarah Al Sayari, another Youth Ambassador, told WAM that the training for Expo covered multiple topics such as protocol, visitor engagement techniques, and emergency response procedures.
She shared that the ambassadors rotate between six main stations within the pavilion to provide explanations to guests, adding that this experience improves the ambassadors’ practical skills.
The training period allowed the ambassadors to become experts at guiding visitors through and giving them a tour that lasts approximately 20 minutes, according to youth ambassador Saif Tahnoon.
Tahnoon stressed the importance of demonstrating UAE cultural values such as hospitality and warmth as well as painting a positive image of the UAE to a global audience.
