DUBAI: Fujifilm has released a new addition to its instant camera lineup, launching the Instax WIDE Evo™ across the Middle East.
The device is a high-end hybrid model that uses WIDE format film and allows users to shoot, review and selectively print photos using a digital interface.
The Instax WIDE Evo builds on the success of the Instax mini Evo, incorporating several upgraded features. It includes 10 lens effects and 10 film effects, which can be combined in various ways.
A new “Degree Control” dial has been introduced, enabling users to fine-tune the effects in up to 100 levels, a first for the Instax series. According to the company, these combinations result in over 100,000 possible photo variations.
The camera also includes a “Film Style” function, offering six frame designs to customize prints, and a “Wide Angle Mode” that captures a broader field of view. Users can operate the camera using dials and a mechanical print crank designed to replicate analog usability.
Coinciding with the camera’s launch, Fujifilm has also introduced a new film type: Instax WIDE “BRUSHED METALLICS”.
The film features a metallic border and is designed for use with the 3” x 5” WIDE format prints.
The Instax WIDE Evo connects to a companion mobile app via Bluetooth, which includes a “Discover Feed” showing prints shared by other users along with the effects used. This allows users to replicate desired styles on their own device. The app also supports direct smartphone printing and editing.
The camera is now available in multiple regional markets including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq and Egypt.
