DUBAI: Hong Kong’s Island Shangri-La, Shangri-La, and Kerry Hotel have been awarded by Crescent Rating, the world’s leading authority on Muslim travel, for their commitment to providing halal-friendly services for Muslim guests. 

The rating is a standardized and independent accreditation system that is used to globally recognize hotels for meeting Halal or Muslim-friendly standards. The hotels receive the “CrescentRating” of 5, which signifies a certified standard level of Muslim-friendly hospitality. 

Island Shangri-La offers a variety of halal-friendly experiences, such as Qibla directional signs, the Quran, and prayer mats to cater to religious practices. The hotel is located 10 minutes away from the Jamia Masjid, ensuring guests have easy access to mosques. 

The hotel also offers different halal foods at its different venues as well as tailored halal menus for events, highlighting its dedication to fostering a Muslim-friendly environment.

Moreover, every room at Kowloon Shangri-La has a Qibla directional sign with Quran and prayer mats. A dedicated prayer room with prayer amenities is also arranged on a 24-hour basis.

All dining options at the hotel are halal-friendly, including Japanese cuisine. Additionally, the hotel’s Café Kool curates a variety of halal-food dishes such as lamb tagine and chicken doner kebab.

The hotel’s location at Tsim Sha Tsui offers a perfect chance for guests to visit other Islamic facilities nearby, such as Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Centre.

Located near Hung Hom Bay, Hong Kong’s Kerry Hotel also offers Muslim guests a Qibla directional sign, the Quran, and a prayer mat. 

The hotel’s Big Bay Café is certified as a “Halal Kitchen Restaurant” by The Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong and offers diverse halal dishes from all over the world, including the Middle East and Asia.

Special halal dining arrangements are available upon request during Islamic holidays such as Eid al-Fitr.
