To make mask-wearing a little more interesting, Takahiro Shibata designed a ramen face mask that combines both food and safety.
Shibata is an artist, who studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
He designs and showcases his creations on Twitter, and his latest creation is inspired by the coronavirus pandemic.
The mask is decorated with a print that features: menma bamboo shoots, chashu braised pork, finely chopped scallions, a slice of fu wheat gluten, noodles, and a glistening broth—it even gives the impression of steam if your glasses fog up when breathing.
Shibata posts pictures of his creations that range from quirky jewellery to oversized sunflower seeds, and while some of his creation are for sale on his website, the ramen face mask isn’t just yet.
