Burger King Japan continues to push passed norms with their latest burger option–a deliberately sloppy burger called the Chicken de Ugly.
The burger’s bun, coated in four different cheeses including cheddar, egmont, mozzarella, and gouda, follows in the footsteps of its two predecessors the Cheese Ugly Beef Burger and Chili Ugly Beef Burger.
The cheese bun’s uneven texture, hinders the food item’s visual appeal, branding them ‘ugly.’
The Chicken de Ugly, is the only chicken option among Burger King’s two Ugly Beef Burger options, and is priced at 620 yen ($5.90) or 920 yen ($8.81) for a meal.
Burger King’s latest addition is made using both bacon, and fried chicken topped with mayonnaise and pickles.
Given the success of the first two ugly burgers in the series, the burgers will be offered for an extended period time and a full Ugly menu launched on Nov. 13.
