Nike and Japanese fashion brand, UNDERCOVER have teamed up this season to offer a two-piece collection inclusive of an adjustable coat and pants.
UNDERCOVER’S website states that the “2-in-1 parka transforms from a classic coat into a stylish vest by removing the sleeves, hood, and lower portion.”
UNDERCOVER, asserts that the collection is made using water-repellent material to ensure the utmost practicality, and stresses its weather-proof advantage.
The coat includes many subtle yet functional details, including the material as well as the many pockets and finally a protected circular watch window.
Both the coat and pants are priced separately, with the coat amounting to around ¥78,650 JPY ($756) and the pants priced at ¥31,460 JPY ($302).
The inspiration from this collection is rooted in the paradox of chaos and balance.
“The new NIKE x UNDERCOVER 2020 Holiday collection is inspired by the chaos and the balance found within the city during the winter months,” says UNDERCOVER’S website.
Both brands have explored these concepts while also drawing on Kendo, a modern Japanese martial art, by adopting a similar aesthetic.
Nike and UNDERCOVER’s newest collection is sold on the UNDERCOVER website.
