McDonald’s Japan and American camping company, Coleman are offering a collection of branded items to commemorate the new year.
The Smile Bag will be sold until Dec. 22 and can be purchased on McDonald’s Japan’s website.
Inside the tote, purchasers can find a clock that takes the form of McDonald’s fries, a mug, and a pouch, along with a ¥500 JPY gold gift card.
All the merchandise features the McDonald’s logo on one side, and the Coleman’s logo on the other. The merchandise is also printed with colourful variations of the McDonald’s and Coleman logos
Coleman’s is recognized for their outdoor, recreational products– camping gear in particular
The Smile Bag is a Japanese New Year custom called Fukubukuro, otherwise referred to as a lucky bag.
In Japan, stores prepare Fukubukuro to entice customers by filling bags with various products that are sold at a reduced price.
The McDonald’s and Coleman Smile Bag will be sold for ¥3,160 JPY ($30).
