LEGO Japan is bringing together toys and nature with their latest botanical LEGO sets that feature a bonsai tree and a colourful bouquet arrangement made from sustainable sugarcane.
The bonsai tree, an integral part of Japanese culture, can now be assembled using LEGO blocks priced at ¥8,712 ($83.86).
This latest set, comprised of 878 pieces, was released on Jan. 1 and includes a rectangular pot to hold the tree as well as a wooden-pedestal typical of bonsai trees.
LEGO Japan’s website asserts that the bonsai tree makes the perfect gift for loved ones, or even a self-earned reward.
To capture the full bonsai experience, the LEGO set also comes with changeable branches inclusive of leaves and pink cherry blossoms.
LEGO tweeted about the release with a video showcasing the bonsai tree being put together amidst a natural setting, accompanied by a relaxing melody. The video also includes an image of the packaging, with the text: “Adults welcome” beside it.
