Comicave, the world’s largest pop culture superstore involved in the retail and distribution of high-end collectibles and pop-culture merchandise, is hosting the first championship of its kind worldwide for Hexa Gear model kits Governor’s Cup. They have collaborated with famous Japanese toy and hobby company Kotobukiya.

HEXA GEAR is a new original series by Kotobukiya that combines the concept of plastic models kits with a block-like system. Compared to Frame Arms or M.S.G Modeling Support Goods, HEXA GEAR’s kit block system boasts a level of customizability that exceeds any other.

The event consists of 3 categories: Zoatex Challenge – Clean Build (OOTB), Vehicle Build – Clean Build (OOTB) and Governors Cup – Open Category.

The Clean Build category focuses on the skills of each participant, as kits are built straight out of the box. This allows any participant from all levels to join the event.

The Open Category is for the experts in kit building, as creativity takes center stage. Participants can submit up to three (3) kits per category.

The registration for the event closed on June 13 and all creations will be submitted to Comicave HQ on August 12-14, where it will be judged directly at Kotobukiya Japan.

Exclusively to Arab News Japan, a representative of Comicave said about the Hexa Gear Governor’s Cup: “We at Comicave are excited to host the first Hexa Gear worldwide in the UAE. At the moment, our first competition is open to UAE competitors only but we are looking forward to run more of these competitions in the future”.

“The competition is supported by Kotobukiya, the creators of Hexa Gear models kits line and it’s a universe that’s populated with governors running their machines and vehicles with Hexa-block type technology. We are running three categories for this competition: Zoatex Challenge, Vehicle Build and Governors Cup,” the representative told Arab News Japan.

“This is your chance to be part of Kotobukiya history and earn the title of the governor, we welcome all participants as this is a historical event for us and we are positive that Hexa Gear line will be very popular for model kits builders and we look forward to host more of these events,” she added.

Mr. Yuki, the producer of the Hexa Gear Series also shared a special message welcoming all participants to this historical event.
