Visitors are given an option to visit the garden during the day or at night at varying prices and can even commemorate special occasions with dinner for approximately ¥2,300 but should reserve online to secure a slot.
Day viewings of the fireflies begin at 10 am, starting at ¥1,200 and the night showing begins at 4 pm priced at ¥900 for adults, with reduced prices for students.
For added flair, the inside of the restaurant at the botanical park has been decorated in celebration of the Tanabata festival—a Star Festival—that involves writing wishes on paper and hanging them on a tree.
Guests have also been asked to refrain from capturing the fireflies and must be silent when watching for an optimal viewing experience.
