TAG Heuer has recently collaborated with Nintendo for a limited-edition Super Mario version of the Connected Watch, which sold out in all markets in less than 10 minutes.

According to reports, the watch has been proven to be one of the brand’s most successful launches. Its original retail value stood at ¥235,000 yen (or $2,150 USD.)

Now, the watch is already reaching as high as ¥650,000 Yen (or $6,000 USD) on the resale market.

The TAG Heuer x Super Mario Limited Edition features Mario on the animated dial and he reacts to the wearer’s energy levels. If the wearer has higher levels of activity, then Mario becomes increasingly energetic as well.

New animations are also unlocked once a user hits his daily targets through in-watch game.

Only 2,000 units of the watch have been sold, and there no reports of a follow up release. TAG Heuer said in a statement that the project was “the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the two brands.”
