Ikea Japan is getting ready for Halloween by offering a special menu featuring a range of desserts using Autumn flavours and grotesque decorative elements like fingers and eyeballs that will be available at the café until Oct. 31.
The menu will offer sundaes, doughnuts, pancakes, cake and a range of other desserts to put customers in the Halloween mood.
Ikea Japan’s black sesame pudding priced at ¥290 ($2.65) encapsulates the spookiness associated with the celebration.
The pudding has a rich flavour “with a black cat motif, which is made by sprinkling sesame sauce on sesame pudding and topped with cat eyes,” the official website states.
The bloody sundae (¥250) and bloody tunnbrod both feature a bloody finger made from a biscuit topped with red berry sauce
Both the colourful doughnuts and the black pancakes priced at ¥700 are decorated with an eyeball made from meringue.
Other items on the menu include the purple sweet potato soft serve, the pumpkin tarte and a black chiffon cake.
