JEDDAH: In line with empowering and qualifying Saudi youth, Nissan signed a training and employment contract with the Saudi Japanese Automotive High Institute in Jeddah, under the umbrella of the National Center for Industrial Development, Petromin.
The Director of SJAHI, Salim H. Al-Asmari, stated that the agreement aims to raise the levels of Saudization and offer opportunities to Saudi youth in the field of automobile maintenance and technology. SJAHI intends to achieve this goal through an agreement with Petromin Corporation.
He also indicated that SJAHI has taken the responsibility of providing intensive training to Saudi youths in the field of automobile technology and maintenance.
SJAHI has succeeded over the past few years in providing job opportunities to them by signing employment contracts at the beginning of their training. As of now, the number of SJAHI graduates has exceeded 3,500 graduates.
SJAHI is one of the training institutes of the National Center for Strategic Partnerships under the Technical and Vocational Training corporation.
The training program is being supported by the Human Resources Development Fund “Hadaf,” and it is one of the national industrialization programs under the umbrella of the National Center for Industrial Development. SJAHI also gets support from Japan’s government.
Director of SJAHI, Salim H. Al-Asmari, Representative of Petromin corporation, Mr. Terence Byrne, and Executive Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia, Bader Al-Hussami, have attended the contract signing program.
