IKEA Japan not only sells furniture but is now offering a furnished 10sqm apartment decorated using IKEA furniture priced at ¥99 ($1), applications will be accepted until Dec.3 and is open to members of the IKEA family programme.
The Tiny Homes official website asserts that the room is cosy, and the décor makes effective use of the apartment’s vertical space.
While small, IKEA’s furniture offers practical solutions, making the apartment a multi-purpose space that doubles as a bedroom, living room, and office.
Some of the items used in the apartment include IKEA’S Vallentuna sofa bed, the SYMFONISK table lamp which allows tenants to control the mood of the room freely using the remote control. The TROTTEN TROTTEN wagon, and IVAR Eval shelving unit offers room for storage and organization, among others.
The apartment is also equipped with necessities like a bed which can be accessed using the apartment’s ladder, a bathroom, kitchenette and washing machine.
The apartment is in Shinjuku and the selected tenant will be invited to stay until Jan 15.
