Starbucks Japan launches sakura inspired merchandise

DUBAI: Starbucks Japan is releasing a cherry blossom themed collection including various merchandise inspired by the sakura season like mugs, tumblers, and tote bags to launch in store on Feb 24, the coffee chain will also release a special Frappuccino.

The tumblers available come in various shades of pink representative of the cherry blossom, with floral elements printed on the base of the bottles.

The Stainless Ring Bottle Sakura is on the more expensive end, priced at ¥ 5,060 ($43.97), and is designed with cherry blossoms in full bloom, with the year 2022 printed on the back. The bottle is also practical, made to hold 500ml of either hot or cold drinks, while also keeping them insulated.

Starbucks Japan also sells heat resistant transparent glasses decorated with the same pink floral elements.

As part of this special collection, Starbucks Japan is also selling various mini cup gift sets, as well as a range of stationary like notebooks, and pencil cases.

The new Sakura Cassis Strawberry Shiratama Frappuccino is made using a special type of mochi called nama yatsuhashi priced at ¥680 that can also be enjoyed with a selection of sakura inspired desserts like cake, donuts and cookies.
