DUBAI: Japanese footwear brand ASICS announced its upcoming collaboration with sneakers boutique AFEW, named the AFEW x ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III “Beauty Of Imperfection” sneaker.

The goodlife Dubai saw over 100 attendees on March 31, at an event introducing the new shoe.

Other silhouettes that dropped were also the Autumn Winter 21 Gel Lyte III  “Changing Seasons” in earthy and burgundy hues and “Goraiko” that draws inspiration from the sunrise at Mount Fuji. 

The AFEW and ASICS collaborated shoe is inspired by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy and is meant to embody that beauty lies in imperfection. Therefore, the shoe’s ASICS Stripes feature a “Wear Away” upper that forms its own texture as the shoe is worn.

The pair of sneakers was exclusively released with AFEW on Feb. 26 and was then made available globally on March 25.

It is priced at ¥21,583 (or €160). The product uses premium material, a leather heel protector, a gum sole and more.
