Upcoming Japanese animation Suzume no Tojimari, by Director Makoto Shinkai, will be released on Nov. 11 in Japan and a recent trailer offers audiences a look into the narrative.
Protagonist Suzume takes centre stage as the trailer begins with a shot of her riding on her bike in Kyushu.
Gradually the short clip begins to reveal more about this tale that extends beyond seascapes and mountains, displaying a fast-paced montage after Suzume encounters a mysterious door.
Walking turns to running, and light turns to darkness as the character sets out on her journey of shutting all the disastrous doors around Japan. The trailer is accompanied by an instrumental song.
Shinkai is popular for his other animations Your Name and Weathering with You.
