DUBAI: A campaign that is part of the national travel support initiative, Tokyo Tadaima Plus, supports local tourism in Tokyo and is valid until Dec 20.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau introduced the campaign to encourage regional and local tourism in Tokyo by providing customers the chance to spend less money at hotels and even restaurants; the campaign is applicable to stays at participating hotels from October 20 until December 21.
Participating in the campaign will reduce accommodation price by approximately 40%.
Along with a 40% discount in prices, coupons will also be given and can be used in other participating restaurants, stores, and hotels.
If the hotel stay is booked on a weekday 3000-yen worth of coupons will be provided and 1000-yen worth of coupons on weekends and/or national holidays.
Advertisements set up with QR codes in participating outlets to help people scan for the Tokyo Tadaima Plus Campaign.
This campaign is useful for tourists, local tourists, and even people who simply missed the last train home; a taxi ride costs approximately the same as a stay at a hotel using the Tokyo Tadaima Plus Campaign.
