Three-Michelin Star winning restaurant Noma in Kyoto will open for an additional lunch service on May 14, in response to the earthquakes that hit Turkiye and Syria.

The proceeds from the lunch service will be donated to Red Cross, for earthquake relief in the region, according to Noma Kyoto’s official Instagram page.

Reservations for the lunch service released on Feb. 9, giving those interested an opportunity to dine at Noma for a good cause.

Noma is a renowned Copenhagen restaurant and has been repeatedly named the best in the world. In October last year, the eatery announced it will open its doors in Kyoto.

Noma Kyoto at Ace Hotel Kyoto will run from March 15 to May 20.

Noma’s chef René Redzepi has been acclaimed for transforming Nordic cuisine, serving dishes such as edible pinecones and ragout of reindeer.
