DUBAI: Al Futtaim Toyota launches the UAE’s first home-grown motorsports reality TV show to be aired on Shahid, the biggest Arabic streaming platform in the Middle East, throughout the month of Ramadan on March 22^nd.

Toyota, a leading Japanese automotive manufacturer in hybrid electric vehicles, has been exclusively distributed by Al Futtaim in the UAE for the last 60 years.

The Japanese brand has a successful history in the field of motorsport; it has five decades worth of successful participations spanning from world rally championships and formula 1 to FIA cross country world cup and the 24 hours of le mans.

The show will consist of nine episodes and the first is to be released on April 4^th, with the finale spread over two episodes which will go live at the end of May.

Al Futtaim Toyota is on a mission to find the next big talent in the UAE that has the chance to become a serious contender in the arena; the show will take the audience on the complete full journey starting from the try-outs and intense training all the way to the finale.

The program received 1,200 applicants, which were filtered down to the top 150 participants, with a strong presence from UAE nationals and women racers, coming from 13 different countries.

The finalist will get the chance to win the coveted crown of Al Futtaim Toyota Gazoo racing-off road ambassador for 2023, enjoy Toyota Hilux GR S high-performance off-road pick up for one year, receive an all-expenses paid trip to a global racing event where Toyota is competing, and a chance to participate in the FIA cross country challenge.
