TOKYO: Reports from Europe say Paris Saint-Germain have placed star striker Kylian Mbappe on the transfer list and have left him out of their tour squad to Japan, where they are due to face Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, Cerezo Osaka, Inter Milan and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Mbappe has been critical of his club recently and has said he intends to join Real Madrid next summer after his contract with PSG expires.

Japanese fans were looking forward to Mbappe playing on the same pitch as Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who now plays for Saudi side Al Nassr.

Renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano and The Athletics ports journal are both reporting that PSG have lost patience with 24-year-old Mbappe and do not want to let him go for nothing next summer.

PSG bought Mbappe from Monaco for around $180 million and the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi of Qatar Sports Investments, was hoping to persuade his star player to extend his contract.

However, the star striker will still be playing with the tour squad to Japan according to video promotions advertising the critical game.
