
TOKYO: Outgoing Algerian Ambassador to Japan Larbi Katti paid a farewell courtesy call on Political Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs TAKAGI Kei on Monday to express his appreciation for cooperation from Japan during his time in Tokyo.
Vice-Minister Takagi expressed his gratitude for Ambassador Katti’s contributions during his approximately one and a half years of service, particularly for his cooperation in the realization of the 60th anniversary commemorative events marking the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Algeria.
He also thanked him for his efforts to strengthen economic relations and the promotion of cultural exchanges. Takagi conveyed Japan’s intention to continue collaborating in various fields with Algeria to further enhance bilateral relations.
According to the foreign ministry, Ambassador Katti expressed his appreciation for the cooperation from the Japanese government during his tenure and stated his commitment to supporting deeper bilateral relations.
