
Tokyo: Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa and her Australian counterpart, Penny Wong, on Thursday agreed that it is important to improve the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
In their telephone conversation, the two ministers also confirmed collaboration to make sure of their citizens’ safety.
Kamikawa condemned terror attacks on Israel by Islamic group Hamas, which rules the Palestinian territory, and said she sees the situation with deep concerns.
On Wednesday, Kamikawa held phone talks with British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, affirming cooperation to secure the safety of their citizens.
They also agreed to work together to improve the situation early, including through the framework of the Group of Seven major powers.
