TOKYO: The Council of Arab Ambassadors in Japan met KONO Taro, the Minister of Digitalization, and agreed to strengthen Arab-Japanese relations. They also had discussions on developments in the Palestinian issue and the current situation in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was also aimed for Japan to play a leading and balanced role in helping to realize an immediate ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The ambassadors called for an end to the forced displacement of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and they condemned attacks and assaults on civilians, journalists, relief organizations, medical staff, hospitals, schools, homes, mosques, churches, and places of worship.

The Arab ambassadors further stressed that Israel’s current actions in Gaza are a clear violation of international law, including the use of excessive force and disregarding the minimum necessary measures to minimize civilian casualties.
