Tokyo: Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa and British Foreign Secretary David Cameron have confirmed the need for humanitarian pauses in the fighting between Israeli forces and the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
In their telephone conversation Monday, Kamikawa said she wants to work with the new foreign secretary on various issues in the international community.
The two officials shared the view that security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region is “inseparable.” They also confirmed close cooperation over Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and the situation in East Asia.
