Japanese politician Akiko Oishi came out in support of Palestinians during a meeting of the House of Representatives, of which she is a member of Reiwa Shinsengumi.
Akiko is also a co-representative and policy council chairperson of the party.
During the meeting Akiko denounced Israel for committing ‘genocide’ and crimes against the Palestinians.
“Israeli forces raided a hospital in Gaza. The US government endorsed it. The Japanese government also said in this Diet session that it would refrain from commenting on whether this was a breach of international humanitarian law, or at least whether there was any suspicion of such a breach.
“This is a disgrace. If this is not genocide, what is?”
“If this is not a unilateral change of the status quo by force, what is?
“Is the justice of US duplicity your justice? Then don’t ever speak of justice again. The international community is complicit,” she said.
The Japanese politician accused the Japanese government of being “subordinate” to the US and effectively condoning the Israeli government’s massacre in Gaza.
“The Japanese government is subordinate to the US government and thus supports the Israeli government’s massacre,” she said. “I am protesting that, and I would like to express my intention to protest during the questions in the Diet.
“Japanese Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA visited Israel in early November and I think it is unforgivable to visit and support Israel and to express Japan’s solidarity.”
