For the second day running Japanese politician Akiko Oishi voiced her explicit support for Palestine in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Addressing a large gathering, Akiko Oishi, who is also Co-Representative and Policy Council Chairperson of Reiwa Shinsengumi – one of the opposition parties in Japan – said she shared the pain of the Palestinian people who are being killed every day.

“Let’s change this situation as soon as possible,” Oishi told the crowd. “Stop the massacre, stop the occupation.”

The Japanese politician accused the government of being “subordinate” to the US and effectively condoning the Israeli government’s massacre in Gaza.

Oishi said people in Gaza are being killed in airstrikes. Why is this allowed? And the Japanese government is on the side of the Israeli government, which is doing this.

“Isn’t the Israeli government doing this,? She countered. “Isn’t the US government doing this? And the Japanese government is subordinate to it, right?

“The situation has to change. Everyone let’s change it together. I can’t allow people to be killed like this. We will not give up and raise our voices. I share the pain of the Palestinian people who are being killed every day. Let’s change this situation as soon as possible.
