
TOKYO: Senior national security officials from Japan, the United States and South Korea on Thursday confirmed that the three countries will cooperate closely in dealing with arms trade between Russia and North Korea.
In an online meeting, the officials, including Japanese deputy national security adviser Keiichi Ichikawa, agreed that arms trade between Russia and North Korea is a grave threat to Ukraine and to the peace and security of the Indo-Pacific.
The meeting also included Kurt Campbell, Indo-Pacific coordinator at the US National Security Council, and Kim Tae-hyo, first deputy chief of South Korea’s National Security Office.
