TOKYO: Japanese Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko on Wednesday issued a message to all the people around the world who are celebrating Nowruz Festival. 

“On the occasion of Nowruz, I would like to express my determination to work with everyone to make the new year full of hope, and I sincerely wish you all a wonderful year,” Kamikawa said in a message.

She noted that Wednesday was Vernal Equinox Day in Japan, “a national holiday to celebrate nature and to cherish all living things.” Vernal Equinox Day heralds spring in Japan and the arrival of the cherry blossom season, with the flowers usually blossoming towards the end of March.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people in Japan and all over the world celebrating Nowruz,” Kamikawa said.
