TOKYO: A moderately strong earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of 4 struck Chiba Prefecture around 12:12 p.m. on July 4th.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the epicenter was identified off the east coast of Chiba Prefecture, specifically in the Pacific Ocean, at a depth of approximately 50 km.
