TOKYO: Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, paid a courtesy call on Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary HAYASHI Yoshimasa on Wednesday and had a candid exchange of views, which included the topic of cooperation on education between Japan and Arab countries.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi expressed his pleasure to once again meet Aboul Gheit, who is attending the 5th Japan-Arab Economic Forum in Tokyo. 

Aboul Gheit told Hayashi that it was his first visit to Japan as Secretary General of the League of Arab States and that he would like to further deepen Japan-Arab relations through his visit.

The two sides agreed to continue working together for peace and stability in the Middle East.
