TOKYO: Sudan’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Gibril Ibrahim Mohamed met with Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs TSUJI Kiyoto in Tokyo on Friday and discussed the humanitarian situation in Sudan and how to achieve peace and stability in the region.
Tsuji expressed his appreciation for Gibril’s attendance at the 5th Japan-Arab Economic Forum and commented on the significance of the Minister holding a high position in Sudan’s government in view of his close relationship with Japan, where he studied for seven years.
Gibril expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the Economic Forum and for Japan’s support in the humanitarian field in Sudan.
They exchanged views on the cessation of hostilities in the region and the transition to civilian rule. The two agreed to work closely together in the future to achieve peace in the region.
