TOKYO: Japan’s Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru sent a congratulatory message to President Kais Saied on Tuesday following the official announcement of his re-election as President of the Republic of Tunisia and his inauguration, which took place on Monday.

Prime Minister Ishiba congratulated President Saied on his re-election and stated that Japan and Tunisia have been developing friendly relations for many years and the Japanese government respects the Tunisian government and people.

Ishiba added that Tunisia and its people are working with a strong will to reform the economy and society and looks forward to continued cooperation between the two countries.
