TOKYO: In the wake of Israel’s recent attack on Iran, Japan has escalated the danger level for the country to 3.

This urgent advisory urges Japanese citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran for any reason and to promptly cancel any existing travel plans.

Japan’s Foreign Ministry notice also advised the Japanese residents of Iran to consider leaving the country as soon as possible, considering the latest “tense situation and the status of scheduled commercial flights.”

“The potential for the regional situation surrounding Iran to deteriorate further in the near future is a real concern,” the Ministry’s statement warned.

The Ministry further advised: “If you find yourself in Iran due to unavoidable circumstances, it is crucial to stay updated with the latest information from reliable sources.

“Exercise extreme caution and be prepared to ensure your safety, including the possibility of evacuating to a safe area within the country in the event of an unforeseen incident. Double-check your belongings and stock up on supplies for any eventuality.”
