
TOKYO: Tokyo Governor KOIKE Yuriko arrived in Cairo, Egypt on November 7, the first leg in a tour that includes Abu Dhabi of the UAE to meet with government officials to strengthen cooperation with both cities, Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) Officials told Arab News Japan.
In Cairo, Governor KOIKE will deliver a keynote speech in the 12th World Urban Forum that starts on November 8.
The nine-day trip will run from November 6th to 14th, making it her longest overseas trip to date.
The twelfth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF12) will run from November 4 to 8 (2024) in Cairo, Egypt, and is co-organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the Government of Egypt, according to the WUF official website.
