
TOKYO: Japan’s Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, FUNAKOSHI Takehiro, held a regular Japan-Iran Vice-Ministerial Consultation during a visit to Iran with Iran’s Dr. Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs on Dec. 15.
According to the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo, Funakoshi also paid a courtesy call to Dr. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister.
In the meetings, both sides exchanged candid views on the bilateral relationship between Japan and Iran, regional affairs, Iran’s nuclear issue, and other issues, according to the Ministry.
