Japan signed a grant to support Lebanon with recyclable waste management equipment, providing different tools like two 2-ton waste collection vehicles, a waste shredder, and a waste compactor.
The Japanese grant will enable the collection of around 12 tons of recyclable waste daily, which will contribute to environmental sustainability and improve living conditions.
The grant will be provided to Live Love Lebanon (LLL), an organization established in 2018 that is committed to promoting sustainability.
The project targets various areas such as Beirut, Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate, and Saida, as these areas experience various environmental challenges such as waste disposal and marine pollution.
Ambassador MAGOSHI Masayuki signed the grant contract with Edward Bitar, Head of LLL.
The Japanese official praised LLL’s efforts to deal with extreme environmental issues and promote sustainability, while the Lebanese organization expressed its gratitude for Japan’s support.
