
TOKYO: Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI Takuma will visit Oman’s capital Muscat on February 16 and 17 to attend the Indian Ocean Conference hosted by the India Foundation.
Miyaji will also have discussions with Omani government dignitaries and government officials from other countries.
The Indian Ocean Conference has been hosted by the India Foundation – a major Indian think tank – since 2016. The conference tackles various issues related to security and development from strategic, economic, and cultural perspectives with major countries in the Indian Ocean region.
This will be the eighth time the conference has been held, and discussions will take place with major countries and partners in the Indian Ocean region under the theme of “Voyage to New Horizons of Maritime Partnership.”
State Minister Miyaji will arrive in Muscat on Sunday and depart the following day.
