Japan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Oman SERIZAWA Kiyoshi announced his new post with Ramadan greetings on social media.

In a post on X, the ambassador said it was a “great honor to work towards further strengthening the ties” between Oman and Japan.

“Ramadan Mubarak! I’m Kiyoshi Serizawa, Japan’s new Ambassador to Oman. It’s a great honor to work towards further strengthening the ties between our two nations.”

He also added small details about himself such as the meaning of his name ‘Kiyoshi,’ which is defined as “pure” or “clean” in Japanese.

His hobbies include watching sports and gardening, according to the social media post.

On March 12, Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi received Serizawa’s credentials.

The minister welcomed the ambassador and wished him success in performing his duties. He also hoped the bilateral relations between the two countries would continue to progress and develop.
