TOKYO: Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, MATSUMOTO Hisashi, is set to embark on a visit to Algeria and Tunisia from May 2 to 6, as announced by the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo.

In both countries, Matsumoto will meet with government officials and dignitaries to reaffirm the longstanding friendly and cooperative relationship between them. He will also discuss ways to further develop multi-layered cooperation across various fields to ensure mutual benefits, as stated by the Ministry.

Matsumoto is scheduled to arrive in Algeria on May 3 to meet economic-related and government officials. On May 5, he is scheduled to arrive in Tunisia to meet government officials before returning to Tokyo on May 6.
