New F35B unit arrives at US military base in western Japan

TOKYO: The US military has announced that a new unit of F35B stealth fighter jets has been deployed to Iwakuni Air Base, Yamaguchi Broadcasting reported. 

The 1st Marine Aircraft Wing of the US Marine Corps stated that the F35Bs of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 211 (VMFA211) arrived at Iwakuni Air Base in western Japan on May 10. The US Marine Corps has previously deployed three fighter jet units to Iwakuni Air Base.
