TOKYO: Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait will visit Japan from May 28-31 to strengthen Japan-Kuwait friendship and to attend Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
During his stay in Japan, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will make a State Call on the Emperor of Japan. Crown Prince Akishino will also have an imperial audience with Sheikh Al-Sabah.
During the visit, ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, may hold a meeting and a working lunch with the Kuwaiti crown prince.
“The Government of Japan hopes that this visit will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the State of Kuwait, the Ministry said.
This is the first visit to Japan by Sheikh Al-Sabah since his inauguration as Crown Prince in June 2024.
