TOKYO: ISHIGE Hiroyuki, the Secretary General of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, on Monday announced that the cumulative number of visitors at the Osaka-Kansai Expo as of July 12 was 11.73 million.

“Having reached the halfway point, the Expo is progressing smoothly,” he said. “We believe this success is driven by three key factors: the appeal of the diverse content created by participants, the continuous operational improvements made through proactive measures based on vast amounts of data, and the sincere, sensory engagement of visitors.”

The cumulative number of visitors to the Expo stood at 11,727,996 as of July 12, while the number of tickets sold reached 15,979,819 as of Friday. Ishige said that 78 National and Special Days had been held. (ANJ)
