

TOKYO: Attendance at the Osaka-Kansai Expo has reached 13,661,248 (including 1,864,979 people with passes) as of July 26, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition announced.
Approximately 17.06 million tickets have been sold with heavy crowds expected in the remaining 77 days of the exhibition, especially in Japan’s O-bon holiday in mid-August.
August 1 marks the beginning of “Peace & Human Rights Week” at the Expo. On August 12, a keynote speech will be made by the Representative Director of the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations and a panel moderated by UN Under-Secretary-General NAKAMITSU Izumi will be held.
Upcoming national days include Vanuatu, Micronesia, Central African Republic, Mali, Belize, and Burkina Faso. Ukraine will host its national day on August 5
